On Shifting Grounds: Artistic Practices Beyond Centrality gathers research, dialogues, and field-based reflections that explore curatorial practices emerging beyond dominant centers. Through interviews with artists, curators, and researchers across diverse localities, the publication examines how notions of locality, boundary, and mobility reshape artistic methods and vocabularies.
Within a book the size of a traveler’s notebook, a key visual circulates, carrying the intersecting languages and thoughts of the interviewer and the interviewee. Lines that cross, bend, and traverse break down into dots, then return as circles, weaving the space between words.
